Backups

• Do you backup your files and other information to cloud-based services, such as Apple’s iCloud or Google Drive?

• If not, do you cross your fingers and hope that nothing ever happens to your precious MacBook or iPad (like spilling a cup of coffee over it) and lose precious files and photos? 

• Would you be able to still run your business if this happened?

Even if you do use cloud-based services, local backups provide peace of mind, as well as a method of quick recovery. They also allow you to back up files that are not typically stored in the cloud (such as downloaded music not in the Music app library, photos not in the Photos app library, etc.)

Regular backups mitigate the risk of losing access to your cloud-based services or a major incident resulting in the loss of your files stored in the cloud. Backups also assist in a speedier recovery of your files, settings, etc. on to a new Mac.

We can support you in re-purposing of an existing 'spare' external storage device (hard drive or SSD) or purchase of a suitably-sized external SSD drive and configuration of Apple's Time Machine application to regularly back-up your files.
